Predmet vo vete je osoba alebo vec, ktorej je daná akcia vykonávaná a teda je danou akciou ovplyvnená.

Na priamy predmet sa budeme pýtať Who?/ What? a na nepriamy predmet To whom?/ For whom?/ For What?
